Wimpy's food was off and the manager agreed

I ordered a Bacon, Cheese and Avo burger at Wimpy this morning at the Durban North branch opposite Simply Sushi. The drinks and food arrived with good timing and service but once I took a bite into the avocado I knew something was up, my boyfriend was unsure as to the taste as there was chili in it and he's a bit of a wimp himself with hot food and told me to carry on. After completing my burger and a few chips I didn't feel good at all. My boyfriend asked the waitress what they put in the avo to make it taste so and she wasn't aware of anything to do with the food. The manager was then called and told us that the avocado was tangy and not sour. We kept telling him repeated and he refused to listen until finally going to the kitchen to "taste" the avo himself where he agreed it was sour and a day or two off. We were given the smallest coke available as an almost bribe not to cause a scene and to "push it down" but I'm hoping you all agree it's rather unacceptable to run stock of such foods, especially avocado which can be very fickle if not stored and prepared correctly. We also had to pay full price for the food and drinks, minus the measly cokes they gave us.
