Ever heard of salmonella food poisoning

On Monday night after a long day at work we decided to buy supper and since the kids love hotwings... chicken licken it was. We ordered an 8 piece meal and 12 hot wings. On the way home we each had a wing and i noticed it tasted abit funny but thought i was imagining cause my husband said his was fine. We sat down to ethrew tat supper and the normal pieces of chicken were ok but when i bit into the wing there was a strong "off" taste and smell from the chicken. Needless to say we threw the wings away and nobosy wanted to even eat the chicken thereafter. Thanks guys
