Ocean Basket
Complaint: disregarding smoking law, tasteless food

We are Ocean Basket fans who have recently moved to Nelspruit and we decided to visit the local Ocean Basket restaurant this evening 9/1/2014, for our first time. We were extremely disappointed for the 2 following main reasons:

1. We could not sit outside on the stoep, as the whole stoep is a smokers'
area and we do not smoke. a) We feel that we are being discriminated against as we would also have loved to sit outside in the fresh air on a lovely summer's evening, but instead were forced to sit inside. Enjoying the fresh air is certainly a big part of the dining experience. b) Also, as far as we know, allowing smoking in a public area eg covered area like this stoep, is against the Law regarding smoking in public.

2. As health conscious persons, my husband and I selected the Jumbo grilled hake and stir-fried vegetables. The hake was good, but the veggies was oily and consisted 90% of cabbage with specks of carrots - extremely tasteless and unattractive.
