Mariner's Wharf
Poor State of Shop for Exorbitant Prices

I was the the beach yesterday and thought I would give Mariner's Wharf a try. Usually I just walk pass because they are usually very busy, but decided to brave the queue and give them a try. The calamari and chips was not bad and the portions were sufficient. I was however disturbed by the disgusting up keep of this busy fisheries that is not reasonably priced. Standing in the long queue there were only two very old fans blowing, they are probably as old as the harbor. In the extreme heat conditions they offered absolutely no relief, and they were filthy (surrounded by old dust). The cabinet displays in the shop are just as dirty, with thick mounds of dust like they've never been cleaned. I'm sure when you're paying R4.50 for a buttered roll and R55 for a portion of chips and calamari they could at least provide better cooling and a cleaner environment. My suggestion, have someone clean up the displays regularly and invest in air-conditioning or at least more effective and modern fanning systems.
