No soda with Mcdonalds meal

On 31 December 2013, I ordered 2 meals which consists of a burger, chips and soda from Mcdonalds in Walmer, Port Elizabeth. The person who took my order advised me that they do not have any sodas available and that I should either take a milk shake or juice with the meals. However, I was not allowed to pay the standard meal price and had to pay in for the different drink I was forced to take. I feel that it is not my problem that Mcdonalds ran out of sodas and that THEY should substitue the drink on THEIR cost if THEY don't have the standard drink available! Unacceptable!
