Goldies Deli
Appalled and disgusted

On Friday, 27 December 2013, I had rushed in crazy and heavy traffic to Goldies Deli, Sea Point. I wanted to support this deli as they are Jewish owned business and their food is very good. Previously though, I had checked with 1 of their staff members what time they close. He had said 5pm. Last week Friday I managed to get there by 16h55. That would have given me 5 minutes to grab the specific specials, pay and leave as a happy client. In the window they also advertise that they close at 5pm on Fridays. When I arrived they were already closed. They say that the advert is not theirs even though they had it laminated and they stuck in their window. They want to say that they can close anytime they wish, regardless of what they advertise. I find this absolutely disgusting and disrespectful. I went out of way to try support this business, only to be slapped in the face. This is 100% unacceptable.
