Cape Town Fish Market
No Service - Bad attitude

Cafes, Bars, Restaurants

On Monday, 16 December 2013, we wanted to have sushi at a restaurant in Hout Bay. We told our friends, visiting from Gauteng, that Cape Town Fish Market's prices are better, and that the service and food at Tygervalley branch is good. We decided to rather go there.
When we came into the restaurant, nobody was at the door to greet us. We waited a while and then decided to get seated at a table. The table still had dirty dishes on it.
After waiting 10 minutes, our friend went to one of the floor managers and asked for the table to be cleaned and for service.
After another 10 minutes, my husband went to another floor manager with the same request.
After 5 minutes, eventually a guy came very casually, dragging his feet, to our table and asked whether he should clean the table.
We asked him what the problem is - why there are nearly no waiters? He just said he didn't know.
We saw that the sushi bar's stock was nearly empty and asked him whether they only have the one sushi cook, because we want sushi.
He just replied that we will wait long, as they only have the one person.
When we then said we'd rather go to Ocean Basket, he just shrugged his shoulders.
Bad, bad service!
