We had our christening get together at Blue Crane on Sunday 3 November 2013. Why, because it really has a very nice atmosphere and setting and seemed perfect for our function. And it was until I needed to settle the account. We had 42 adult and 12 children as guests to whom we provided food. But, according to the bill they served 49 adults and 12 children. I confronted the manager (that is if that lady was the manager-shocker), but she insisted that 49 adults received food. I triple checked my guest list and told her that they had somehow made a mistake. One of my guest even mentioned that at one stage the waiters were taking food back because everyone had already received their food. But THAT LADY just refused to accept that this could be the case. After about 15 minutes of arguing, she did not even for one minute entertain the thought of settling the difference 50/50. She basically told me that my list (and my word) meant nothing to her. I soon realised that this was just going to spoil what is a very special day. So I just paid the bill. I will never again visit, or recommend Blue Crane to any person that I know! And I know a lot!
