Mcdonalds
Able-bodied employee parked in disabled parking

Cafes, Bars, Restaurants

I went to the McDonald's in Schoeman Street Pretoria this morning with my father. 2 years ago I was in an accident which left me paralyzed. I am now able to walk with the assistance of a cane. I did not use the disabled parking this morning because I am able to walk, even though I am still disabled. Upon entering the McDonald's a car pulled into the available disabled parking. To my disgust a perfectly able bodied individual opened the door. Worst of all, he was an employee of the restaurant. We confronted him and he had nothing but contempt for our plight and said "the security guard said he could park there" and he walked away. The spot was surrounded by available parking; this spot just happened to be in the shade. We photographed the employee's car and his number plate. As part of the disabled community I take offense to the conduct of this individual and I wish to bring it to the attention of your business as this type of behavior causes damage to the reputation of the McDonald's brand.
