24 hours or only when i feel like working?

On Sunday the 20th at about 00:15 my friends and I went to the mc donalds in middelburg mpumalanga. Before we could place our order at the drivethrough device they informed us that the system was offline and so could not take any orders for the next 30 - 45 minutes. We then drove to the mc donalds at the mall where we were served. The past weekend we went to the same mc donalds again this time at about 03:00 Sunday morning, there were 3 cars infront of us and we all got told the same thing, that they are offline. I personally think that they just don't want to work those late hours.
