On Friday, 30 August 2013, we utilised the Drive-thru facility at the KFC Winkelspruit. As any normal Friday, we noticed that the facility was busy, so we continued to wait in the queue. We ordered, 1 x Fully Loaded Box Meal and 2 x Wicked Zinger Box Meals.By the time we reached the serving window, we were informed that they had run out of zinger fillets for the one burger, and asked whether a normal fillet with zinger sauce could be used. We accepted. My son had the new "version" of the box meal, and i had the Fully Loaded Box Meal. At approximately 23h30 that night, my son became extremely ill, and I not too long afterwards. As a Consumer, I immediately notified KFC of the incident. I received my complaint number same day. Only on Tuesday, 03/09/2013, I receive a voicemail from the Manager saying he'll call me back (as I was in training) and then finally 1 week later (06/09/2013) after the incident, I spoke to the Manager. I was informed that no other complaints were received. So quite the perception, it's OK to harm the consumer. What's the point of "investigating" the incident now, especially via CCTV. Where are the food samples? Where are the Surface Swabs?
