Mugg And Bean
Quiche looks like soggy reheated Pizza

Cafes, Bars, Restaurants

My wife, mother in law, son and I went to the Richards Bay Boardwalk on Saturday 17 August 2013 at 17:00. We have had good service and food there and were looking forward to a pleasant. My wife ordered the Spinach and Feta Quiche, and my mother in law ordered the Quiche Lorraine (see [URL Removed] for what a Quiche and especially the Quiche Lorraine should look like).

What my wife and mother in law got was a sort of reheated pizza. They both had a soggy pastry base, the "contents" dumped on top of this base, like a pizza, and then a drizzle of cheese over the top of the Quiche Lorraine, and one piece of Feta in the middle of a sea of green spinach. (We have a photo of this as we could not believe it ourselves.) It was plainly evident that this had simply been reheated in the microwave.

We spoke to the Waitress and Duty Manager who were most apologetic, but both seemed to think that the meal was exactly as it should be! My wife and I have had this exact same meal at other Mugg and Beans and we can guarantee that it never looked like this. Please don't tell us that this is how Mugg and Bean are improving their menu!
