Mugg And Bean
M & B Ferndale, not recommended for food

I'm a regular at Mugg and Bean. I've visited a number of branches around JHB and have always received the best quality food.

Unfortunately my visits to the Mugg and Bean in Ferndale Village have not been met with the same quality I've come to expect from the chain.

While the coffee was, as always, great, the toasted chicken and mayo was quite disgusting. Normally I would put this down to a bad experience, but this is actually the second time I've ordered this sandwich at this branch. The first time I ordered it I could not even eat it. I found the chicken mayo to be runny and thin while having an offish taste to it. I couldn't even make out whether they perhaps mixed the chicken mayo with the tuna mayo.

The second time I ordered the toasted it was borderline edible. It too had an offish taste, the mayo being runny and the chicken tasteless while the bread was stale resulting in it being crumbly. While I ate the sandwich I regret doing so afterwards. It has left me feeling quite ill.

If anyone wants a decent meal at Mugg and Bean, I would NOT recommend a visit the Ferndale Village branch.
