T&Cs made up by manager, I was cheated

As a Liberty Life Own Your Life member, a benefit that I receive is 10% discount off my bill at Piatto. We ordered 3 main meals that were off their specials and when I paid, I was told by the manager that I could not get 10% off because we ordered the house specials. He went on to explain that 15 minutes ago another customer was told the same thing. What I am most angry with is that nowhere on the printed advertising for the specials placed on the table did it mention the terms and conditions include not being able to use Own Your Life benefits. When I pointed out to him that it is not in writing, he just said he was told that he can't give the discount on house specials and there's nothing he can do. I feel cheated by arbitrary T&Cs that were made up by the manager and his explanation was not satisfactory. I was cheated of my discount!!!
