Stale cake

On the 21 July i went to Love Revenge Cappuccino i bought 2 slices of red velvet cake, when i took the first bite i notice that the cake is stale, i told the sales lady that this cake is stale she just laughed and said the cake came in the morning so it should but i said even so it shouldn't be that stale. she said there's nothing she can do coz the cake is fresh.
