Infantile manager/obvious avoidance at Colcacchios

At 18:00 I got to Colcacchio's Cavendish, asking for a table for 5. They asked me to "Wait 2-minutes" while they made up our table. After 5 I asked the manager if I could quickly go fetch my movie tickets. "No problem". Upon returning 15-min later, I had no table.

The manager had also disappeared.

Asking the hostess what was going on, she then referred me to a waiter. Our table had been set up in a section that had a booking for 19:30. I told him that we didn't want to have to race through our meal.

By then my 4 friends had arrived. We were ignored for the better part of 10 minutes, nobody responding to our queries. The manager wouldn't look in our direction and the hostess was playing dumb. People who were behind us in the line were seated before us.

Growing annoyed, I walked up to the manager and asked him to explain. His bad attitude and general lack of interest in helping us was very obvious. 30 minutes after I specifically arrived early to get a table (there were plenty upon arrival).

After 40 minutes, we were seated at the edge of the restaurant. No apology. Menus were tossed on the table.

The manager was too busy talking to girl who had sat down at another table.
