Contradictory business practices

Cash payment refused for a telephonic order collected at 13:05pm on a Friday afternoon, as the new owners are Muslim and only accept card transactions between 1 and 2pm.
1. Staff member should've told me that they would only accept card transactions when I placed my order. Unfortunately she now has to foot the bill for the order that was ready, but "uncollectable".
2. It is my understanding that Muslims are to leave trade or any form of business during salatul jum'ah (Friday prayers). I respect the observation of this religious rule by the owners of this Debonairs branch, but don't understand the contradictory nature of accepting debit/credit card transactions in lieu of cash. An exchange between a buyer and seller constitutes a trade transaction (whether it's physical or virtual money). The owners should probably consult with their religious leaders to gain clarity on this. In my opinion, the shop should be closed completely during that time and not just half way closed (where the staff actually had to duck below the half closed gates to get between the kitchen and front area of the shop). It would also help if a notice is put up informing possible clients of the closed period.
