"40minutes or its free" - WHAT A LIE!!!

Good day,
I placed an order online with Debonairs for a Lrg Double stack at 10.20am. I received a confirmation sms stating that Montague branch received my order and that sms was received at 10.25am. I only received my pizza at 11.14am which would make my pizza free if I understand your policy correct?!
But instead, Im dealing with a driver apologising for being late and a branch manager telling me her drivers only start working at 10am (which would making me place an order at 10:20 perfect timing for my pizza to arrive on time).
So I had to pay for this pizza even though it clearly states on the website that if its not delivered in 40minutes its free. And our offices are literally 2km away... Please explain to me why make promises you cannot keep??
