FNB - Open an acc and can only us it days later!!

I applied online for an FNB smart gold cheque account about 10 days ago if not more.
The response was great at first, my card got delivered no problem.
I phoned to activate my account and was told it can take days, when i was first told the day after my documents are received my account will be activated.
You can open an account in 10 minutes online but 10 days later i still do not have an active account??
Would of been SO MUCH EASIER and QUICKER if i had gone into the branch and applied for my account.
Really FNB, people apply for an account because they need it, not because we want to wait weeks for it.
Im getting paid tomorrow and have no account for my wages to go into, THANKS FNB!!!
