Ebucks & fnb staff give conflicting information

It has taken over 6 months to establish what the correct criteria is to qualify for e-bucks discounts and i am still at a loss!!! There was a lot of advertising about petrol discounts if bought with a fnb credit card. however, theres a catch. According to the website i needed to have a fixed deposit account, home loan or personal loan in addition to the gold card which i have had for more than 20 years. i tried to apply for a fixed deposit online via the fnb site to no avail. the call centre put me to investments who very quietly disconnected the call - then i saw why - it was 4.30! emails received to say someone would contact. still waiting!
so - went into the bank -told them that i needed a fixed deposit for the ebucks discount. they assisted and said min deposit R100. i put in R500. checked e-bucks but still did not qualify. called them who said i need min R10, 000! so, i have now deposited R10, 000 and still do not qualify! called today and was told by Senny this afternoon that i need to have fnb cheque to qualify. This is a mess! the ebucks web clearly states that ONE account -gold Credit card or cheque etc. THEN fixed deposit. HOW DO I GET THIS RIGHT? WHY DONT STAFF KNOW??
