Unhappy with the service and lack information

Business & Finance

On the 24th of February 2012, the family of the Hlabisa's reported to the bank of the passing of late Mr. M. Hlabisa (the payer of the Quantum taxi). Then without any notice from the bank, the bank went ahead to confiscate the vehicle at the Upper Hlabisa taxi owners Association on the 27th of February 2012. The vehicle was confiscated by a gentleman by the name of Mr. MJ. Mkhonto, from an Absa branch in Empangeni who told the family to bring an Executor letter and the death certificate of the deceased.

The gentleman went ahead to tell the family that the vehicle is in paying areas of R 1 611 and that the remaining amount to be paid for the vehicle is R 64 000, when R 246 000 had already been paid to the bank by the deceased. The R 1 611 was then paid off and the family went ahead to get a loan of R 40 000 to at least reduce the amount that was outstanding, but the consultant went on to tell them that they still wont get the vehicle instead they want the amount to be paid in full. The Hlabisa family would like for this matter to be resolved as this vehicle is a source of income to the family

Kind Regards
