My vehicle payments fell into arrears due to unforseen financial circumstances. It was - according to me - the amount of R1842 (which isn't even 2 installments), but according to ABSA - over R3000. ABSA cancelled my contract and handed it over to attorneys, who then took my vehicle into possession yesterday afternoon. When I eventually got hold of ABSA this morning, I was informed by ABSA's legal dept that they can do it like that - no need for me to have signed as acknowledgement of receipt of a summons - NOTHING! And the attitude that I received regarding the predicament that I am sitting in now - is one of just NO concern, and definitely not an attitude of ABSA being there to assist their clients. I am now sorting out full payment just to get my vehicle back, but as any normal person would do, requested the amount and account info in writing. When I phoned again - after I was being told that 'I am sending it through to you now' - just to find out when will I receive the email, the TEAM LEADER of the consultant who previously assisted me with his bad attitude, told me that I WILL get my email, I must just remember that I am NOT the only client! BAD ATTITUDE!
