What is happening?

I took out a loan last month and i was supposed to pay back last week on the 15th of March. to my suprise, the payment was not debited, yesterday i went online to set up a repayment debit order, i received a confirmation email that the debit order will go off last night. but still it did not go off. What is going on in my account?
