Late January I phoned Discovery Credit Card Division to cancel my card. They advised me to pay the full amount before I could go ahead I settled my account on 5 February & called a few days later to confirm. I received about 3/4 calls over the next few days enquiring why I am cancelling my account explaining the benefits etc after I told them my reasons this had already annoyed me. 11 February I received another call from Sharon Chetty requesting me to fill in Account Closure Forms in order to process the cancellation of my credit card, Vitality Membership & to refund the R295 they debited for the Miles Annual Fee which I completed & sent same day. I was informed it would be processed within 7 days. I called twice thereafter to follow up & they assured me the account would be closed. 6 March I received a statement logged into my online account & noticed it was still open. I called to query AGAIN (ref 2758628513) the gentleman informed he would send another enquiry which I thought had been done a month ago. I called again on 11 March as my account was still open. After 2 months they have finally closed my account, but I am now going to wait another month for my refund. Not happy!
