Standard Bank Dissapoints, yet again!

One would think with such strong competition within the current banking Industry, Standard Bank would make it a priority to provide their customers with a service that exceeds expectations.
WISHFULL THINKING!!!
I get a phone call monthly from standard bank credit card call centre asking if i would like to increase my credit card limit to 35 odd thousand rand, yet when i request a 1000 increase in my credit card limit (making it 2000) i am told the system doesnt approve. Let be honest for the average person 2000 is not alot of credit.
What annoys me the most is that A) after making x2 requests a few weeks ago to make the increase i heard absolutely nothing back from them. Not a message saying sorry the system did not agree to it, after i was ensured that they would be in touch within a day absolute latest.
and B) Standard Bank failed to disclosed a vital piece of information - once you have decreased your credit limit, you have to wait a further 6 months before applying for a credit increase. I generally only apply for 2000 credit increase before i am about to go overseas incase of an emergency.
I have now been denied a credit card increase, 7 days before i leave for Thailand
