ITS NOT ABSA... ITS THE ATM

I have been a loyal since my very first account. I am fully aware that my bank does not have the CHEAPEST monthly service plans but i choose to stay with ABSA... but now the final straw has arrived. My cheque debit card had been swollowed by the ATM in Canal Walk. Its was also swollowed less than 2 months ago and on 2 other occasions prior to this. Besides the mission it is to get a replacement card and the inconvenience, i still need to deal with sarcasm. So the response i get is that its not ABSA bank but the ATM who is responsible for this. I have also been told that the last time i have been registered for FICA was in 2006 and that when i was instructed in 2011 to go into a bank to re-register for FICA nothing was done. Then there is the bank monthly charging fees which cannot be explained and was logged as a query. A R130 - month service package which has a xtra Management Fee of R159 which cannot be explained. The consultant that finally helped me and sorted my new card was very helpfull and i can only compliment her on the excellent manner in which she assisted as this kept me from blowing my lid off. I have now cancelled my Savings and Target acc. My cheque acc will be cancelled next
