? My vehicle was hail damaged in Oct '12. I explained at the time that because of work I would need a car in a months time. I was given a priority booking to ensure that my car would be fixed. In that time the vehicle was 'lost' and before leaving I was granted a hire car (not on my policy) for the trip. I rushed back to JHB after - but no car. Rental extended for another trip that I had to CT in Jan. Rushed back to JHB. Repairs on car NOT done properly and damage to car besides. Explained then that I would be working in CT for A MONTH beginning March. Car extended AGAIN, much to my dismay & protest. I need a car to transport work equipment. Was notified last week that car has been written off, with pressure to fill in AOL ASAP. When I phoned to inquire I was told that after being paid out, Santam were no longer responsible for a hire car. I was told that an extension for a day or 2 would be granted so that ' I would have enough time to buy a new car and get back to Joburg.' After protest car was extended until this Friday. Was charged thousands by rental company today for still being in possession of car. Am now without money or transport. Everyone else blamed. Shocked. Stranded?
