I sent per registered mail on 5/11/2012 documents to FICA my mother's account and was told it will be done in 5 working days. On 8/11 I called and confirmed docs were received. On 12/11 I was told it will take 10 days to FICA. On 26/11 call centre confirmed FICA was now done. My mother phoned on 5/12 to trade her shares in Old Mutual. On 18/2/2013 I called to check why they have not paid her money yet and was told that she did not give instruction to trade her shares which is nonsense because my stefather assisted her on a 2nd telephone line. After much, much, much frustration with the person in the call centre explaining why I am so frustrated I requested that the tape of call 5/12 is retrieved. I was promised this will be done, tried to follow up 19th and again 20th but the manager who I was referred to and contact number seems to not exist. Now I want to speak to manager in charge (Brian Semake) to voice my frustration and it seems he will also not accept calls - calls are merely blocked by call centre personnel. What should I think of this bad service - they are quick to take old people's money and refuse to pay out when requested?? Pathetic service! no solution yet.
