When purchasing an item on Amazon, an amount was placed on hold on my Virgin Money Card. This reserved amount, much like a car hire deposit, was to be returned to me if I did not take the service. I did not take the service however the money was not returned to me/released.

Amazon can see that they did not take the money. Virgin Money keeps informing me that I made the purchase and therefore it is my responsibility. Except I didn't make the purchase and Amazon didn't take the money.

I have provided documents from Amazon, who have been wonderfully helpful. Virgin keeps sending me a generic response.

If I did not make the purchase and Amazon did not take the money, I can only assume that Virgin has decided to keep my money. Please correct this. Amazon has put your customer service to shame. As a loyal customer, I trust this will be rectified sooner than later.
