On the 5th of February 2013 i deposited R520.00 at an ATM at Standard Bank Castle Walk Mall. Just after putting the envelope in the machine with money and a slip stating how much i deposited another slip came out stating that we are unable to process this transaction. I went straight inside the bank to report this and i was told not to worry because the money will appear in my account after 3 days. I went to the bank again to lodge a complain because the money didn't appear in my account i was told to wait for 6 working days after which i was also told to wait for another 7 working days while the technicians will come open the ATM to see if the envelope fell somewhere. I went back again only to be told that they didn't find anything and i was to go to the police station and make an affidavit so that the bank can refund my money. i did as they said and just after 3 days of submitting i was phoned and told that the bank will not be able to pay me back my money i must report to the Ombudsman.
