I have been overseas for an extended work assignment and l have diligently paid my credit card payments. On my return I received a letter advising me I had an available balance. I phoned the call centre and spoke to Mr Barties. I requested a new card as mine had expired a long time ago. I was advised that the account was closed. On inquiring why I had received the letter, I was advsed that although the amount was "available", it was not "accessable". He could not explain why the amount was available if the account had been closed. He became rude and I requested to be put through to the complaints department. He advised me that there was no complaints department and that I had to email a complaint. I asked to speak to his supervisor and was put on hold for about 4 minutes, the phone was picked up repeatedly in that time but was immediately put on hold again on those occassions.

Mr Branson, shove your credit card.
