After account settlement, they say you hav'nt paid

I've contacted African Bank call centre in September 2012 requesting a settlement amount in order to settle the loan in which I had with them. They've contacted me back agreeing on a specific amount, a few days later I went to pay the agreed settlement amount and received confirmation thereof. About 2 weeks ago I received a call from their " debt collecting agency " stating that I am in arrears with my payments and further action will now be taken. According to me and my proof, I have settled them and that was the end of it, I've even been in contact with Mr Tsepo Hlasika who is on their legal department team and he had confirmed that this has been settled. Funny enough, I have spoke to a friend of mine, and he is experiencing the same issue with African bank for the past 2 years... Now I ask you, as a financial institution of South Africa, what confidence and ethics do you show our people??? Your settlement letter states " we thank you for giving us the opportunity to assist you with your credit needs and trust that you will not hesitate to contact us if you require financial assistance in the future "... With problems like these, why would I ever do business with you again???
