I am more than just a bit dismayed that ABSA continue to hide their incompetence and lack of understanding on how to deal with customers behind legislative frameworks such as FICA. They continually block my trust account due to an inability to track down the original registrant of the trust (acting on behalf of a company over 8 years ago) and have once again blocked my ABSA account. Over the past 3 years all the required FICA documents were submitted but were repeatedly 'lost' or 'misplaced' or blamed on outgoing customer service agents and as soon as ABSA changed their requirements then immediately made this my problem without explanation. This complaint is a direct response to the inept way that you have handled my account and the abysmal customer service that I have experienced. I am horrified at the heavy handed approach to customer service while hiding behind a 'guideline' the original person is un-contactable by ABSA's own admission and every month I deal with the same inept attitude and conduct without resolution and without management intervention regardless of requests to assist. My expectation is resolution from a senior manager with an understanding of customer service!
