INCAPABLE OF REGISTERING A 91 YEAR OLD FOR FICA

My gran is 91 and bed ridden / wheel chair bound.
Approximately three months ago we attended at Absa Flora centre with her in her wheel chair to register her for internet banking so that I could attend to her banking with her from home. All fica documents were handed in to update her Fica (I work in the industry and thus know the requirements for fica) she was fica'd and the internet banking was implemented.

The 22 October 13 Absa blocks her account as they claim she has not been Fica'd. (not even two months after we originally fica'd her) Absa did not even have the courtesy to contact her to advise her that her account has been blocked.

We went through all the motions again with the manager at Absa Flora Centre who immediately reinstated her account and we again supplied new updated fica.

It is now the 25th November and she has once again been blocked from using her account as Absa requires her to be Fica'd . again they did not have the courtesy to advise her.

This is totally unacceptable, especially from an international financial institution and is bordering on victimisation and harassment of an extremely elderly lady
