1 Month to receive feedback on declined Bond app

I applied for a bond application early January 2013 and was sent documentation on the 4th of January 2013 to complete along with a list of supporting documentation to supply which I supplied on the 16th of January 2013 (myself and my spouses ID's were not included at this time) as I had to wait for latest Municipal accounts.

I sent follow up communication on the 30th of January as I had by then not received any feedback (incl if all documentation supplied was sufficient), and was finally informed that the ID documents were not attached - which I subsequently attached and sent through.

A MONTH after my intial application on the 11th February 2013, I received feedback that my application has been declined due to the fact that I am married within COP to a non-SA citizen (who is not in posession of a green barcoded ID book).

This fact was cllearly indicatoed on the application form as submitted on the 4th of January?? I could have spent this 'month' applying elsewhere?
