Victim of a at an ATM. The moment I realised that something didn't seem right because my card wasn't coming out of the machine I phoned FNB to cancel my card. I phoned in around 20:00 and told the lady to please cancel my card. She said I should be patient as their system was slow?! It took almost 20min from when I phoned to when they cancelled it! I received an sms saying that they cancelled it but the next morning I woke up and found sms's on my phone that money was withdrawn. There was numerous amounts of money taken out simultaneously all at 20:18 according to FNBs system and the card was cancelled at 20:19! FNB came back after their "investigation" and said they are not refunding me because it must have been my negligence because I "must have compromised my pin" I don't even know how they could have seen my pin! When I was at the branch the lady said it's been happening a lot, theres a machine that bypasses your pins and daily limits. She said she can see they must have used something like that because the statement doesn't even refer to it being withdrawn from an ATM or anything. The money hadn't even reflected as gone out my account yet. I am highly upset about this.
