First National Bank
Freezing a business account

Business & Finance

Good Day

I need clarification with regards to a business account with FNB. I invested R200 000.00 into EWJMicrofinance business, which has an account with FNB.

The owner of the company has been refusing to share account statements with me, and now he claims the company is going bankrupt. I asked to see financial statements and he has been refusing for the last 12 months. The business is still operating.

I would like to find out from First National Bank if it is possible to freeze the business account using a court order as I suspect the reason he is refusing to share financial information with me is because he is moving the money to his personal accounts or using the money for his personal things.

If proven that he is transfering money to other accounts for personal matters, is it possible to freeze even the other related account?

Please assist.
