I wrote a report on the 1 Feb in the morning with the headline Money Making Scheme to which I received a response from Standard Bank on the 2 Feb saying that someone will be in contact with me regarding my complaint. It is now the 7th Feb and no one from Standard Bank has followed up or contacted me regarding my VALID complaint. They want to charge R20 a page for statements older than 6 months whereas FNB charge R9.90 for the entire statement ie not per page and ABSA charge R32 for the entire statement. I got a quote of R1460.00 that Standard Bank expected me to pay in order to get my required statements. R192.00 vs R1460.00 wow, what a total rip off. Still waiting to be contacted as per their response.
