The second that the Ucount rewards programme was released to the public by Standard Bank I signed up. I was really excited about the programme, especially being able to purchase flights from any airline with my reward points.

Unfortunately now the rewards programme is driving me mad! Each and every month my tiering rewards are calculated incorrectly on my account meaning that I don't get the correct reward points added to my account. First it was the minimum monthly deposit amount of R5K and I wouldn't get the tiering points even though I had at least double that deposited. Added to this problem, I didn't get tiering points for buying R15K worth of forex last Nov (double what is required) and now I didn't get points for using internet banking, even though I use it more than the minimum 3 times a month!

Each and every time I contact Std Bank I get the same pathetic excuse (with no responses / updates at all) that "the problem has been escalated". I'm tired of it being escalated!

Is this how Std Bank treats an extremely loyal customer? I have been with Std since I was 5, and wouldn't have considered changing banks until now!
