I get the feeling companies as big as Discovery lose the personal relationship with its client. I had a motor vehicle incident on 8 January 2014. I submitted the claim the same day. Initially I got an SMS saying that Thobile Nqotheni will handle my claim. I was referred to an assessment center that is 80km away from where I live, being told that is the closest. I phoned again, spoke to someone else, and was assured there are closer centers (After numerous calls, not being able to get a hold of Thobile and never phoning me back after numerous requests). They assessed my vehicle on the Monday 13 January 2014. Now it is the 27th, nearly 3 weeks after with no feedback. I am driving around with a damaged vehicle.
Now I have to take time out of my busy schedule, phone you guys and try to get hold of someone to assist me. This is basic service manners. I implore Discovery to try and assist the individuals and do the basics right. Otherwise many of us will start to find better insurance elsewhere, and there are many options!
