I am writing this compliant on behalf of my mother C Nel. She moved from insurance companies on the advice of her broker in Modimolle. My brother, who falls under her insurance policy, was in a accident that he had no fault in. They went through the whole process to open a case at the SAPS. When we had to report the claim it was said that she was dishonest at the start of the contract due to her not disclosing a claim that was made in 2011, this was for a windscreen replacement that the broker confirmed was not needed to confirm, as well as understating a claim that was made this year, she confirmed the amount that was paid to the panel beater and did not know about the costs of the assessor and towing service as this should have been included apparently.

If the insured driver was not at fault, how can the claim be declined due to communication from both my mother and the broker.

I have the list of claims as well as communications between her and the broker. I would prefer if someone can give me a call or respond via e-mail in order for us to sort out the matter in a decent matter.
