Insurance claim

I work from home and have a policy with Virseker. Our region experienced a power failure from Es com which caused an irregular power surge. Needless to say my printer packed up due to this. Insurance were contacted and they assured me the item was covered and that i had to proceed by taking the machine to nearest SP namely Minolta. Damage report stated machine was not repairable and the document was forwarded to claims department. I had to take the machine myself as i live outside of Cape Town. Traveled R400 km to deliver and fetch the machine. Finally received a call from Fay Jordaan informing me that according to their provider this machine is for business purposes thus their refusal to pay. Received a final letter declining my claim. Needless to say i am no longer with Virseker. Virseker could not confirm what was covered in my home as i work from there.
