I want someone to please explain to me how come when I make a payment on my Personal Loan on the 23rd, I get a telephone call from your Collections Department the very next dat informing me that my account reflects an arrear balance. Quite frankly I have had enough. I get paid on the 23rd of the month and make payment to the account via EFT the very same day for the amount of R2565.00. This morning I had yet the pleasure of a telephone call from ABSA Bank to inform me that my account is in arrears. The consultant told me that the account reflects an arrear balance of R1900 but I make a payment of R2565.00 every month. Furthermore, I made an application to extend my Revolving Loan but was advised that it was declined due to my "bad / negative"payment history on my Personal Loan. I pay my accounts with ABSA every month and have not skipped or missed any payments so where does this "negative / bad payment"history comes from? I expect the courtesy of a telephone call from qualified personnel and an apology from ABSA Bank. This experience has really left a bitter taste and I dont know what ABSA Bank will do to rectify this matter.
