I had a bond for my house with ABSA. I sold my house and the bond was settled 20 Dec 2013, on 2 Jan the penalty interest was deducted from my account, which is fine.
The attorneys paid R35, 000 EXTRA into the bond account. It's been a month now, I cannot access the excess money, I have contacted my personal banker who assured me someone will contact me from the bond department, I contacted a lady in the bond department, received no reply. So when exactly will ABSA actually close my bond account and give me my money???
