No sms or Phonecall received about order status

I applied online for a smart device, received no sms saying order received, then I phone in a day later and was told order being processed and then received a sms sating the same.

I phoned today again and was told order approved but out of stock and only receiving stock on the 31 January.

Then the agent also said but you could have applied at the istore and I asked why was I not phoned about my order or even told out of stock.

This is the worst service ever, device order approved but why cant I just collect at the istore, just send them my order number?
