EFT Reversal Process

I made an EFT in error to an incorrect account from my Standard Bank account to another Standard Bank account. I followed the reversal process of Standard Bank but they informed me that a reversal is only possible if the receiver account holder gives consent. This process seems flawed as I cannot see how many people will give consent for money to be taken out of their account they were not suppose to get. Surely I am the rightful owner of the money and should have the ability to correct a mistake I made with my money.
I saw that this issue was resolved on hellopeter before and I'm wondering why different rules would apply to me.
