SMS vs cellphone banking

December can be a crazy month with early debits going off, Christmas deposits coming in and so on. Thankfully standard bank offers an SMS alert service to help you keep track of your finances??? What a joke! The SMS alerts were never a true reflection of what was happening in my account! As a result, upon checking my cellphone banking app yesterday I found that I am R2200 overdrawn. This puts me in a huge predicament for the rest of the month, not to mention next month starting off R2200 in arrears!!! Standard bank's response: you should keep track of your spending!?!? That's why I signed up for SMS alerts fools, for you to keep track of my spending and alert me ACCURATELY!!!
