Bureau de change is worthless!

I recently returned from a business trip to China. I had some Chinese Yuan left in my wallet and wanted to change them back to SA Rands. I went to ABSA in Menlyn, Pretoria, because they have a Bureau de Change. When I gave the 400 Chinese yuan to the teller she did dot even know what they were. I had to explain to her. Then she disappeared for about 5 minutes just to come and tell me that they can't give me Rands for the Yuan's. I called the manager and he confirmed that they can sell me Chinese Yuan but they can't take them back. "Their system does not allow it". To me this is totally unacceptable. The chinese economy is one of the largets in the world and ABSA's Bereau de Change can't change Chinese Yuan.???
