I have a hospital plan for several years and never claimed. In October I was in hospital for seven days due to illness in pregnancy. AIG is responsible as underwriters for the policy and I had lodged the claim and submitted all documents in November 2013. I have called several times complained and even spoken to a call centre supervisor Alexi who has still not assisted me or returned my call. Standard Bank needs to ensure that as a client my complaint gets firstly finalized and secondly look into AIG feels like I signed up with a fly by night insurer yet it's through a leading banking institute. Next step will be the banking oubudsman. Assistance please it's been almost 2 months for a claim that should be resolved in 7-14 working days!
