Debit bank account on a cancelled account

In December 2012 i cancelled my policy with this company, 2 days later i got an e-mail confirming that it had been cancelled but that my January debit would still go through.
Now today i get notice from my bank that clientele life debited my account AGAIN.
When i phoned them they told me that the policy HAD NOT been cancelled and that they had not received any monies.
This is the 2nd time i have had problems with this company, their service is disgusting their attitude even worse, i WILL NEVER use them again and reccommend to all that i know to do the same.
I demand that they refund me my money asap, or i will sue them, im sick of them and their terrible service.
